Genomics Forum Poetry Competition 2010
The Forum announces a new writing competition for poets in partnership with the Scottish Poetry Library for poems of no more than 50 lines on the theme of ‘improving the human’. Old Possum’s Children’s Poetry Competition 2010
Roger McGough is to chair the judging panel for a worldwide poetry competition for 7-11 year olds. The Competition is organised by the Children’s Poetry Bookshelf, a poetry book club for young people run by the Poetry Book Society. To link with National Poetry Day on Thursday 7 October, children will be asked to write a poem in English on the theme of ‘Home’. The competition is open to individuals and schools. No entry fee. Iota Shots Pamphlet Prizes
Iota launches three new prizes for shorter poetry pamphlets to be published by the Templar Poetry imprint. Poets are invited to submit 12-16 pages of poetry, with no more than 40 lines of text per page. This is an international competition and both postal and online submissions are welcome.
